Can I Alter My Clip In Hair Extensions?

We completely understand the excitement of wanting to personalise your Foxy Locks Clip In Hair Extensions to achieve your perfect look! 

You’re welcome to trim, tone, or style your extensions - but please note that any alterations are made at your own discretion. Once hair extensions have been worn, coloured, cut, or adjusted in any way, they can no longer be returned or exchanged.

To help you make the right choice, each set of Foxy Locks Clip In Hair Extensions (excluding Ponytails, Volumizers, and Tape Ins) includes a small sample weft. This allows you to check the colour match, thickness, and quality before opening the main compartment.

If the colour isn’t quite right, don’t worry - simply contact us and our friendly team will be happy to assist with an exchange, replacement, or refund, as long as the main compartment remains intact.


Before Making Any Changes

Many of our amazing customers love to customise their extensions for that flawless finish. However, once alterations have been made, the responsibility lies with you.

If you’re unsure about cutting, dyeing, or heat styling your extensions, please reach out to us before making changes. We’re always happy to offer advice and guidance so you can achieve your dream result with confidence.

Wash only when needed - Around every 3 weeks is perfect, or when there’s noticeable product build up.

Use salon quality products - We highly recommend our Silk In A Bottle™ Shine Boosting Shampoo & Conditioner Duo, specially formulated to keep your extensions smooth, hydrated, and tangle free.

Always detangle before washing - Gently brush your extensions with a wide tooth comb or extension brush before wetting them.

Avoid excessive heat - Use a heat protectant spray when styling and avoid very high temperatures to maintain shine and strength.

Store with care - Keep your Foxy Locks Clip In Hair Extensions protected and tangle free by storing them in a dry, cool place, ideally in our Storage Case with Hanger for ultimate care and convenience.

Where do you ship?

We ship worldwide using Royal Mail. Please note, international orders may incur customs duties, which are the customer’s responsibility. Customs clearance can sometimes take up to 30 days.


How long does shipping take?

- UK Standard: 2-3 working days

- UK Next Day Delivery: Next working day

- International: 5-14 working days

Pre orders are shipped when stock arrives. Times are estimates and may vary due to manufacturing, shipping, or customs.


How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll get a tracking email. You can also check your order via Order History in your Foxy Locks account.

Customs & Duties

All international import charges are the customer’s responsibility. If a package is refused due to customs, refunds are only issued after the item is returned, minus customs fees, return postage, and original shipping. We offer a duties paid upfront service to the USA and select European countries. These countries include Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. Any other country will be required to pay the import charges upon customs clearance. 


Missing or Damaged Parcels

Contact us immediately if your order is missing or damaged. Claims times vary by courier:

- Deutsche Post: up to 8 weeks

- Royal Mail: up to 30 working days (UK) & up to 90 working days (international)

If your package shows as delivered, please check with neighbours before contacting us. Keep all packaging and paperwork for claims.


Order Amendments & Dispatch Issues

You have 30 minutes to amend or cancel an order after placing it

We may contact you if details are missing or items require special handling (e.g., PO Box restrictions, or overweight parcels)

We want you to love your Foxy Locks hair extensions, and our returns, refunds, and exchanges policy is here to make things as easy as possible while keeping hygiene and quality standards top priority.


UK Returns

If you are based in the UK, you can start your return via our UK Return Portal. Please read all instructions carefully before sending items back, and contact us first if you have any questions - we’re always happy to help.


International Returns

International customers must arrange their own shipping. Use our International Return Portal and follow all instructions carefully. If you’re unsure about the process, contact us for guidance - we’ll make it simple for you.


Can I return or exchange items if I change my mind?

Clip In Hair Extensions: Each set comes with a test weft section to check colour and quality. The hair in the main compartment must be unopened, unused, and with the hygiene band intact to qualify for a return or exchange.

Tape In, Ponytail & Volumizers: These items can be returned if unworn, unused, and in their original condition, even if the box has been opened to check colour or length.

Please note: Once tape in extensions are fitted, they cannot be returned. We recommend professional fitting for the best results.


Refunds

- If an item is faulty due to our error, you can return it free of charge. Once confirmed, we will issue a full refund or exchange. 

- For items returned under normal circumstances, UK returns via the portal incur a £3 fee, which will be deducted from your refund.

- Refunds are processed within 1-3 working days, with the refunded amount appearing in your account within 7-14 days.


Exchanges

Exchanges are available if the length or colour is not right for you.

UK exchanges: The first exchange is sent free of postage charges. Pleases use our return portal to create a pre paid shipping label

International exchanges: £7.50 standard shipping; Express upgrades are available.

Foxy Locks reserves the right to charge return fees in case of abuse of the returns system.


⚠️ Faulty Products

Contact [email protected] within 5 months of receipt for faulty items.

The complete set must be returned before a refund or exchange can be issued.

Faults reported after 5 months are outside the standard investigation period, but our team can still provide advice to help resolve issues.

Sale items (outlet) are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Can I change my order?

If your order has not been dispatched then you can change your order, please do this by contacting us here. If your order has been dispatched then it will be required to facilitate a return. Please note last minute changes may not be possible so always try to let us know as quick as possible so we can assist you. 
 

Can I cancel my order?

As above, if your order has not been dispatched, and you contact us in good time then the order can be cancelled. We would then refund in full or straight cancel the order depending on the authorization status of the payment at the moment of the request.

How do Foxy Locks discounts work?

Foxy Locks offer discount codes from time to time which can be used on the website, either in the Basket or the Checkout.  

We have different codes depending on which currency you would like to check out with.

You can choose £, € or $ as you prefer from the top of the website via the currency selector.  

Once currency is chosen, at the Basket or Checkout you can then input your codes in the following formats

Currency £ - add code as normal

Currency € - add EURO to the end of the code

Currency $ - add USD to the end of the code


What should I do if my discount code is not working at checkout?

We confirm that our discount codes are valid and should be working properly. If you are experiencing issues applying a discount code at checkout please reach out to us for assistance, and we will gladly help you through the process of placing your order with the discount applied.

What happens if my order history is not showing in my account?

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the absence of your previous order history. Unfortunately, following a move to a new website platform, there was an error with the transfer of order history. We are unable to check orders prior to a certain date. Instead, we can offer colour matching assistance or any other help you might need. Please reach out to us for support.

What is a Pre Order?

A pre order is an order a customer places for an item that has not yet been released for sale or is out of stock. The idea for pre orders came because consumers found it difficult to get popular items in stores because of the items' popularity. Businesses then had the idea to allow customers to reserve their own personal product before its release.

Why Pre Order? What are the benefits ?

With demand high for our hair extensions, we place products on to pre order when they run out of stock, which means customers can reserve a set just for them which takes priority for dispatch as soon as we receive them. Be first in line and don't miss out by pre ordering.

How long does a Pre Order take to complete?

A pre order usually takes 2 -3 weeks to complete, sometimes faster and sometimes slightly later. You can always check with us via live help during this process and we will provide updates. As soon as it comes, we dispatch and email confirmation with tracking. All pre order release dates are subject to change depending on unforeseen delays. 

I have Pre Ordered a product but have since changed my mind?

You can cancel your pre order and receive a full refund if done so before the date of dispatch. There is no fee applied for making or cancelling a pre order. If you wish to amend or cancel your pre order, just reach out to us with your order number, and we will be happy to assist. 

I don't want to Pre Order - what are my options?

No problem, if you don't want to make a pre order and reserve a hot selling item, the next best thing to do is enter your email into the notify me section just under the pre order button on the products page (see image in next question below). This means that as soon as stock comes back in, after all pre orders have been allotted, we will then email you to let you know the product is in stock and you can purchase your chosen hair extensions.

Alternatively just contact us via one of our many contact options, and we will be happy to assist you in getting what you desire.

I did not make a Pre Order, why is my order status saying it is?

It is impossible to make a pre order on our website without knowing it. We only want people to pre order who really want to use the service. If you have made a pre order and no longer wish to receive the item, you can cancel free of charge and your item will go to the next in line. 

  • The category Image thumbnail has a Pre order banner on it 
  • The product page has no “Buy” button, only a “Pre Order Now” Button

I want to make a Pre Order -  How long until I receive my order?

Making a pre order and reserving one of our hot selling products is easy and trouble free but the main question most customers want to know is when will I receive my hair extensions.

From the point of ordering it can take between 10–12 weeks for us to dispatch your order. This can sometimes be faster or slower depending on various factors and all release dates are subject to change.

Once the item arrives with us and is checked and ready for dispatch, we will prioritize all pre orders and ensure they are sent first.

2 – 3 weeks is a long time to wait?

The approximate wait times are worth it, our hair is infinitely better than the rest and we actively check this fact. Foxy Locks hair extensions are a high-end luxury product and as such, our manufacturing processes make more effort to ensure that quality which means a little more of a wait time. The end product is worth the wait and more importantly, worth your money.

Can I contact you for updates?
